    Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami

    From the book “Sri Vraja-maṇḍala-parikramā”:

    North of Beriyā is Pānihārī-kuṇḍa. The gopīs used to come here to fetch water. Pāni means “water”, and hārī means “taking”. Sometimes, Kṛṣṇa met with the gopīs here.

    The word ‘panihari’ means a place from where ‘water is taken’ and this is one of the kundas where the gopis used to come to fetch drinking water.
