    Rajashekhara Dasa

From the book “Chaurasi-kosa Vraja Mandala Parikrama”:

In this temple one can have darsana the govardhana-sila and gunja-mala that was presented as a gift to Raghunatha Dasa Goswami by Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. A devoted follower of Lord Chaitanya known as Sankarananda Saraswati once visited Govardhana Hill and collected a flat yellow-colored govardhana-sila which he gave as a gift to Lord Chaitanya. This shila was worshiped by Lord Chaitanya for three years before He presented it as a gift to Raghunatha Dasa Goswami and ordered him to worship the shila, saying that by serving the rock of Govardhana he will quickly achieve love of God. After the disappearance of Raghumatha Dasa, this particular sila known as Shri Giridhari was worshiped by the daughter of Shrila Ganga Narayana Chakraborty. Eventually this govardhana-sila and gunja-mala was given to Shrila Vishvanatha Chakravarty Thakura to worship during the time that he was performing bhajana at Radha-kunda. When in old age, Vishvanatha Chakravarty moved to Vrindavana, the govardhana-sila was worshiped on the altar of the Radha Gokulananda Mandira. However, this famous sila was secreted away in 1949 by followers of a sidha-pranali babaji-sampradaya who claimed hereditary proprietorship of the shila and brought it to this temple at Bhagavata Nivas where it is still being worshiped even today.
