    Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami

    From the book “Sri Vraja-maṇḍala-parikramā”:

Śrī Yugala-Kiśorajī is situated in Kiśorīvana, or Vyāsa-gherā, near Śrī Sevā-kuñja. Mādhava dāsa, a disciple of Śrī Mādhavendra Purī, was a famous bhakta ācārya. Śrī Nābhā dāsa has described his character in Bhakta-māla. His disciple, Abhirāma Vyāsa, a resident of Orachā, revealed this deity through Harirāma Vyāsajī. Nearby in the garden is the samādhi of Śrī Vyāsajī.

There is a second Yugala-Kiśorajī whose temple lies on a hillock near Keśī-ghāṭa. Jhānnā-Pannā Rājā established this temple.

During the reign of Mughal emperor Akbara, the two Rājapūta brothers Haridāsa Ṭhākura and Govinda dāsa Ṭhākura built the temple of a third Yugala-Kiśorajī. The brothers were from the family of Tomara and belonged to the village of Nīmkāthānā in Jaipura.

    Rajashekhara Dasa

From the book “Chaurasi-kosa Vraja Mandala Parikrama”:

This is one of the early medieval temples built in Vrindavana after Emperor Akbar granted permission for the construction temples dedicated to Lord Krishna. This temple was completed in 1627 and is often referred to as the ‘Keshi Ghata’ temple due to its location next to the famous riverside ghata. This is not one of the celebrated Goswami temples of Vrindavana and the former presiding Deity is no longer being worshiped here. The temple was desecrated along with the other temples of Vrindavana by the soldiers of the Mughal tyrant Emperor Aurangzeb in 1670 and since then it has been closed.
