Rajashekhara Dasa
From the book “Chaurasi-kosa Vraja Mandala Parikrama”:
In this temple one can see the Deity of Sad-Bhuja Mahaprabhu, the six-armed form of Lord Chaitanya that was formerly worshiped by Shrila Jagannatha Dasa Babaji Maharaja. During the period of his first stay in Vrindavana Shrila Jagannatha Dasa Babaji worshiped the Deities named Sona-Gauranga, but on returning to Navadwipa, he gave these Deities to a local brahmana to continue the worship. However, sometime later, on returning once again to Vrindavana, Shrila Jagannatha Dasa Babaji was feeling separation from his Sona-Gauranga Deities, he therefore requested one of his disciples to find another Deity of Lord Chaitanya that he could personally worship. The Babaji’s disciple began to look for a Deity of Lord Chaitanya and one day he just happened to be passing the field of a local farmer. The farmer had just received a cart-load of wheat-bran for feeding his cows and as the cows began to eat, a beautiful Deity of Lord Chaitanya in His Sad-bhuja form, suddenly appeared from beneath the large pile of wheatbran. At the request of the Babaji’s disciple, the farmer gave the Deity to Shrila Jagannatha Dasa Babaji for his worship. After some years, when Shrila Jagannatha Dasa Babaji finally returned to Navadwipa, the Deity was given to a Vaishnava devotee to continue the worship and is now installed in this temple. The Sona-Gauranga Deity formerly worshiped by Shrila Jagannatha Dasa Babaji is also present in Vrindavana near the Gopinatha Mandira.
