Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami
From the book “Sri Vraja-maṇḍala-parikramā”:
This ghāṭa is also called Kālīya-daha, and is situated on the old bank of the Yamunā about half a mile north of Varāha-ghāṭa. The pastime of this place has already been described. When Śrī Kṛṣṇa reached the riverbank after subduing Kālīya, Vrajarāja Nanda and Vrajeśvarī Śrī Yaśodā soaked Him with their tears, and very carefully and thoroughly examined His body. They wondered, “Has our lālā been hurt anywhere?” Here, Mahārāja Nanda donated many cows to the brāhmaṇas for Kṛṣṇa’s welfare.
