Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami
From the book “Sri Vraja-maṇḍala-parikramā”:
This pond is situated north-west of Nandagaon, below Nandīśvara Hill, and somewhat near to Pāvana-sarovara. It received the name Dhovanī-kuṇḍa because the pots of milk and yoghurt were washed (dhonā) here.
