From the book “Chaurasi-kosa Vraja Mandala Parikrama”:

It is said that after Krishna returned to Mahavana to meet all the Vrajavasis, there was a great celebration at this village. The name Kisanpura is said to be derived from Krishna’s own name. In the local dialect of Northern India, Kisan or Kishna, is often used by village people instead Krishna. In this area just south of Lohavana, Krishna and His cowherd boyfriends would come from Nandagrama to graze the cows during their pastimes of gocharana-lila. There is a small temple in the village containing the very beautiful Deities of Radha Krishna.
