    Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami

    From the book “Sri Vraja-maṇḍala-parikramā”:

Khāṅpura lies one mile south of Bhādāvalī. Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa and the sakhīs ate various foodstuffs (khādya) here after playing Holī in Raṇavāḍī.

    Rajashekhara Dasa

From the book “Chaurasi-kosa Vraja Mandala Parikrama”:

After playing holi at Ranabadi, Radha and Krishna came here with the sakhas and sakhis and enjoyed a wonderful feast. The name of the village is derived from the word ‘khana’, which means any kind of meal like lunch or dinner or even a feast. The word ‘khana’ can also mean ‘to eat food’ as in ‘khana kao’ meaning ‘please take your meal’.
