The Bhakti-ratnakara says, “See Harasali-grama where Krishna performed His rasa.” Krishna and the gopis once performed the rasa-lila dance at this place which was formerly located on the banks of the Yamuna River. The Yamuna has since moved away from here due to a change in her course and presently lies over one mile to the east. Nearby is a temple dedicated to Garga Muni known as the Gargacharya Mandira.
