Rajashekhara Dasa
From the book “Chaurasi-kosa Vraja Mandala Parikrama”:
Once during the hot summer months, Krishna and the cowherd boys were grazing their cows at this place. Due to the intense heat that day, all the cowherd boys began praying to Krishna to provide them some relief. Suddenly, huge dark clouds began to appear in the sky and cool breezes started blowing which gave great pleasure to everyone. Suddenly it began to rain and in great happiness the cowherd boys began to glorify Krishna due to His wonderful activities. The word ‘badala’ refers to very dark clouds in the sky that are pregnant with heavy rainfall.
