    Rajashekhara Dasa

From the book “Chaurasi-kosa Vraja Mandala Parikrama”:

It is said that the name of this village is derived from the word ‘khabara’ which means ‘news’ or ‘information’ and refers to Krishna receiving ‘news’ from one of His messengers. Krishna had just presented the wonderful gift of a pearl necklace to His beloved Radharani when a message arrived and Krishna suddenly left that place. Wondering why Krishna had left so suddenly, Radharani enquired from Her girlfriends as to where Krishna had gone after receiving the message (khabara).
