Rajashekhara Dasa
From the book “Chaurasi-kosa Vraja Mandala Parikrama”:
This is the place near Lauhavana where the cowherd boys were herding their cows when they became frightened by the demon Lohajangha and began crying out “Khayare! Khayare!”, meaning the demon will ‘eat us!’, he will ‘eat us!” Thus the village was named Kheriya, derived from the word khayare.
