Description

Rajashekhara Dasa
From the book “Chaurasi-kosa Vraja Mandala Parikrama”:
It is said after stealing all the calves and cowherd boys, Lord Brahma left for his abode in Brahmaloka, however, feeling somewhat anxious about his having stolen the cows and calves, Lord Brahma immediately returned to see what was happening. Although only a few minutes had elapsed of Brahma’s time, on earth one whole year had already passed by. From his position hidden in the clouds above this village, he was completely surprised that Krishna was present in the pasturing ground with all the same calves and cowherd boys that he thought he had just stolen. Thus Lord Brahma became completely bewildered by what he saw. The word ‘buzurg’ in the name ‘Basai Buzurg’ means ‘patriarch’ or ‘ancestor’ and is a reference to the universal patriarch Prajapati Brahma.
