From the book “Chaurasi-kosa Vraja Mandala Parikrama”:
Local legend says that the gopis came here to fetch water and just at that moment Krishna also arrived there while herding His cows and said, “Oh Radhera! I am feeling very thirsty, please give Me some water to drink”. Radharani then gave Krishna some water to drink. ‘Radhera’, or Radhe, are the ‘pet’ names used to address Radharani.
