From the book “Chaurasi-kosa Vraja Mandala Parikrama”:
At this place the gopis seated the ‘divine couple’ Radha and Krishna on a throne and began singing enchanting love songs and dancing to the rhythmical sounds of their musical instruments. While the gopis were ecstatically dancing they began throwing red colored gulal on the bodies of Radha and Krishna. In the village there is a kunda called Shri-Kunda.
