Rajashekhara Dasa
From the book “Chaurasi-kosa Vraja Mandala Parikrama”:
It is said that one day the gopis dressed-up Radharani as the Queen of Vrindavana, one gopi became the gatekeeper and others became footservants. To have some fun, Krishna and His friends Subala and Sudama, dressed up as gopis and came to this place and asked the gatekeeper if they could see the greatly noble Queen Radha. The gatekeeper then went and informed the queen that some unusual looking gopis had come to see to Her. Speaking in a very stern and grave voice, the queen said, “What do they want here?” Hearing these very sharp words of the queen, Krishna and His friends decided that it might be safer if they very quietly left that place otherwise they might be arrested as imposters by the footservants of the queen and given a good slapping.
