Description

Rajashekhara Dasa
From the book “Chaurasi-kosa Vraja Mandala Parikrama”:
Once Radha and Krishna met with the gopis at this place to have some fun, they dressed Krishna as Lord Ramacandra and dressed Radharani as Sita Devi and imitated the Lord’s pastimes described in the Ramayana. Thus the village became known as Sitarama. The word ‘nagala’ means a ‘hamlet’, or a small village.
