    Rajashekhara Dasa

From the book “Chaurasi-kosa Vraja Mandala Parikrama”:

This temple contains the Deity of Lord Shweta Varaha. The word ‘shweta’ means ‘white’ and this is the Varaha incarnation that appeared at the end of the Chakshusha-manvantara and killed the demon Hiranyaksha, the younger brother of Hiranyakashipu. It is said He appeared with the body of a man but with the face of a boar and is also known as Nara-varaha. The Sanskrit word ‘varaha’ means a ‘boar’ and ‘nara’ means a ‘man’ or ‘human-like person’. The Varaha Deity in this temple is carved from white marble.
