Rajashekhara Dasa
From the book “Chaurasi-kosa Vraja Mandala Parikrama”:
According to the Adi-Varaha Purana Surabhivana is one of the upavanas or subforests of Vraja Mandala and the forest was said to cover an area from Aniyora village up to Apsaravana near Punchari. There are still many trees remaining of this forest which is located on the left side of the Govardhana parikrama path when going towards Apsara-kunda. The forest was named after the celestial mother of all wish-fulfilling cows Surabhi Devi, who came here with Indra and the demigods to bathe Lord Krishna at Govinda-kunda.
