Rajashekhara Dasa

This temple is said to be located at the place where the female saint Mira Bhai used to perform her bhajana when she lived in Vrindavana. Mira Bhai was formerly a royal princess belonging to the Rajput ksatriya clan from Rajasthan. However, from early childhood she became devoted to the Deity of Lord Krishna and consequently, after marriage, she was unable to dedicate herself completely to her husband, because she spent practically all her time in the service of her Deity. This caused great anguish in the heart of her husband who plotted to kill her by poisoning her. However, she miraculously survived the various ordeals and eventually abandoned the royal palace and came to live in Vrindavana where she engaged in bhajana. Mira Bhai became well known for her devotional songs about Lord Krishna.
