Mahārāja Mādho Singh of Jaipura had this grand temple built over a period spanning almost thirty years and expended much money on it. The main temple has three doors. In the northern chamber is Śrī Ānanda-Bihārījī; in the central chamber is Śrī Rādhā-Mādhavajī; and in the southern chamber are Śrī Nitya-Gopālajī, Śrī Giridhārijī, and the deities of Śrī Nārada and Śrī Sanaka, Sanātana, Sanandana and Sanata Kumāra. The deities in this temple were installed in 1916 AD.
Rajashekhara Dasa
From the book “Chaurasi-kosa Vraja Mandala Parikrama”:
This is the most grandiose and most architecturally beautiful of all Vrindavana’s temples and was built by Raja Sawai Madhav of Jaipur in 1917. The fine hand-carved sandstone is of unparalleled workmanship and it took thirty years to complete the construction. The huge sandstone pillars that support the roof are each carved from one solid rock and in order to haul the large sandstone rocks for the construction of the temple, Raja Sawai Madhava financed the railway line from Mathura to Vrindavana that is still in use even today. The temple has three altars and the Deities being worshiped here are; Shri Shri Radha Madhava, Ananda-bihari and Hamsa-gopala.
