    Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami

    From the book “Sri Vraja-maṇḍala-parikramā”:

This kuṇḍa lies in the middle of Kadamba-kānana, where the eager Kṛṣṇa, guided by the sakhīs, drank the nectar of Śrīmatī Rādhikā’s lips. This kuṇḍa is therefore called Pīvana-kuṇḍa (pīnā means “to drink”). This kuṇḍa is the witness to the Divine Couple’s amorous pastimes. Bhakti-ratnākara describes this incident.
