    Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami

    From the book “Sri Vraja-maṇḍala-parikramā”:

After seeing Śrīmatī Rādhikā here, Kṛṣṇa’s eyes brimmed with tears. The word ḍabharāro means “full of tears”, and this village therefore became known by that name. Ḍabharāro is situated two miles south of Varsānā.

    Rajashekhara Dasa

From the book “Chaurasi-kosa Vraja Mandala Parikrama”:

In the Bhakti-ratnakara, it says that once when Krishna suddenly saw the exquisitely beautiful form of Radharani as She arrived along the path, at that moment His eyes suddenly flooded with tears. The word ‘dabhararo’ means ‘eyes full of tears’. On another occasion, it is said that Krishna was sitting at this place with the cowherd boys when His close friend Subala began to glorify Radharani, saying, She possessed peerless beauty and exceptionally good qualities. Upon hearing Subala speak about the transcendental attributes of Radha, Krishna’s eyes became drowned in tears of ecstatic love. In this regard the word ‘dubu’ means ‘to drown’.
